Amy Langell
Chief Compliance Officer
As a mother of three, Amy has learned to anticipate the needs of others, to be patient as well as candid, to manage chaos—and most importantly, to have a sense of humor when things don’t go exactly as planned. All of that combined with more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry is what makes her such an invaluable resource for Echo45. As Chief Compliance Officer, she is responsible for all compliance and supervisory related functions of the firm including developing and implementing policies & procedures, ensuring timely execution of the daily operations and collaborating with our compliance vendor and back-office support teams - all without missing a beat.
Equipped with an AS in computer business administration, Amy started out as an executive assistant at Credit Suisse First Boston in 1999. Then, while she was raising her young children, she worked part-time for local independent advisors as a registered sales assistant, managing all aspects of client service, daily operations and ensuring compliance with Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction (OSJ) rules and regulations. Most recently, Amy was responsible for assisting the compliance, operations and investment management teams at a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), making sure processes and procedures were executed properly, while also coordinating information flow between the sales and operations departments—she knows how to get things done.
Amy’s just as busy at home, too, in Concord, California where she resides with her family and sweet Labrador retriever, Nola. From volunteering at the Food Bank of Contra Costa to the annual family camping trip to Burney Falls, she’s living her best life.
